To start, you will not incur fees to become a FireVault Reseller. The startup is truly quick and easy, so you can enjoy the rewards of recurring revenue right away.
A unique feature of reselling online data backup services is that your customers' data storage needs grow alongside their business. Each time an employee joins their team or a new workstation is added to the network, the backup routine will need to be modified which inevitably results in data growth.
In fall 2007, Computer Technology Review published an article with projections showing annual enterprise storage growth to increase 40%, 50% and even 100% in coming years. FireVault will honor your reseller commission % as your customers' offsite data storage plans increase.
Every time the customer you referred pays us, you get paid!
Customer Service Support
After the sale closes, FireVault takes responsibility for the client. We order, install, and configure all the licenses, backup software, and data consolidation appliance components. A FireVault Agent will work directly with the customer to implement the backup routine and manage the initial data backup to our secure offsite data centers.
FireVault provides all ongoing service and support needs including software updates, hardware upgrades and replacement, and license renewals. Most importantly, we are the single point of contact during a data loss emergency.
We provide each client a "FireVault Peace of Mind" packet that includes:
- Service Agreement
- Contact List
- FireVault Software Licenses
- Login Details
- Vault Appliance Serial Numbers and Service Contract (if applicable)
- Step-by-Step Data Recovery Instructions
- Video Tutorial on Using FireVault online backup and data recovery
Sales and Marketing Support
FireVault helps resellers generate leads by promoting and maintaining the brand's online presence. We concurrently engage in pay per click advertising, natural search engine optimization, and paid inclusion on websites and forums dedicated to online backup and data recovery.
CRM activities include Newsletters announcing new products/promotions, Daily Backup Confirmation emails, and additional, relevant electronic communications throughout the lifespan as a FireVault user.
We provide all FireVault Resellers:
- Pre-sale and closing sale advice and support, as well as on-site sales support (as needed).
- Remote Hands office environment evaluations.
- Website development support enabling you to integrate FireVault product information with your website.
- FireVault Microsoft development should you not have your own website.
- Email alerts every time your customer's backup completes successfully (upon request).
- Brandable marketing materials to print and distribute and printed collateral (upon request).
- Preview announcements about new products and upcoming promotions.
- Access to all of FireVault's technology solutions including our local backup/data consolidation appliance (Vault) and hosting services.
Training
FireVault Training Materials provide everything you need to learn about our online backup and data recovery solutions. Our downloadable educational resources include:
- FireVault product information
- Sales guides
- Sales aids, such as Power Point presentations, data sheets, and white papers
- Video overview of the software at work
These resources are available on demand thru the FireVault Reseller online portal. We firmly believe however that spending time in FireVault's Online Backup Software is the best practice, so we provide each reseller 5 gigs of storage space at no charge*.
Your endorsement will be more effective, and you will have more confidence when speaking on behalf of the solution if you've actively used the system. As a result, we require all FireVault Resellers to maintain a personal or business online backup account.
*If your online backup needs exceed the 5 gigs included with your FireVault Reseller plan, you will receive a preferred rate on additional space.
Administrative Support
FireVault Staff manages everything in the back office. Accounting, billing, customer payments, and commission management are all handled on our end. We maintain each customer's file with service portfolio, and we provide customer service when billing questions arise.
In the FireVault Reseller online portal you can:
- View your customer list including details on which services they have selected.
- Add leads so you can get the credit for the sale if they become a FireVault customer.
- Review your monthly commission revenue.
In return for FireVault's great reseller benefits, we ask that you:
- Become an expert in FireVault software and hardware solution for online data backup and data recovery.
- Confidently and effectively represent FireVault's features and promote this as the premier solution for this category.
- Follow up on leads with urgency, courtesy, and professionalism.
- Close the deal!
